1

Type I (Clay)

They are the most common and economical. They have a high resistance to moderate temperatures and are used in applications such as fireplaces and domestic oven linings.
2

Type II (High alumina)

They contain a high alumina content, which makes them more resistant to heat. They are used in industrial applications such as smelting furnaces, boilers and chimney linings.
3

Type III (Silica)

They are mainly made of silica and are able to withstand very high temperatures. They are used in applications where high heat resistance is required, such as glass furnaces, incinerators and chemical reactors.
4

Type IV (Insulating)

These bricks are designed to provide thermal insulation. They are made of porous, lightweight materials that reduce heat transfer. They are used in industrial furnaces and boiler linings to minimise heat loss.
